There is a place I have found myself in many times.
Not at the beginning of something.
Not fully in what is next.
Somewhere in between.
Where what once felt familiar no longer fits,
but what is coming has not fully formed yet.
It is a quiet space.
And it can feel disorienting.
Because there is nothing solid to hold onto in the same way.
The ways you used to navigate life start to fall away.
The answers you used to rely on do not land the same.
And yet, there is something present.
Something subtle.
Something that is asking to be listened to more closely.
I have come to know this space as the threshold.
Not as a place of being stuck,
but as a place of change that is still unfolding.
From the outside, it can look like nothing is happening.
But inside, everything is rearranging.
Your awareness is shifting.
Your way of seeing is changing.
Your relationship to yourself is being asked to deepen.
And that does not always feel comfortable.
There can be moments of uncertainty.
Moments where you question what you are sensing.
Moments where you want to go back to what felt more known.
But something in you knows you cannot go back in the same way.
That is part of the threshold too.
It is not asking you to have all the answers.
It is asking you to stay present with what is already here.
To listen differently.
To trust what you are beginning to sense, even if it is still forming.
This is the space I find myself writing from.
Not from a place of having arrived somewhere final,
but from walking this in between, again and again.
And this is the space I often meet people in through my work.
Not when everything is clear,
but when something is shifting and asking to be understood more honestly.
This space is something I explore more deeply in my upcoming book, but it is also something we are all living in our own way.
If you feel like you are somewhere in between right now, you are not lost. You are in a place of real change.
With love and blessings,
Susan
