Whispers of the Sacred: Three Moments That Changed Me

There is such reverence, gratitude, and awareness when we step into the energies of the sacred lands and sites. These places are alive. They remember. They hold stories far older than we can imagine.
When we enter them, we are not tourists - we are guests. How we show up matters. Our presence, our breath, our intentions all become part of the living field.

Over the years, I’ve visited many sacred sites - each holding its own vibration, its own ancient whisper. Some experiences arrive like lightning, others seep slowly into the soul. What I’ve learned is that sacred places meet us where we are, but also ask us to meet them with humility.
Here are three moments that continue to live within me.

Stonehenge — Remembering What Was Lost and Found

As a child, I visited Stonehenge many times, long before I knew what it meant to stand within sacred space. Returning as an adult, I wanted to see how it had changed - and perhaps more truthfully, how I had.
Standing on the land, waiting for our turn to walk among the stones, a current of energy descended through my crown and into my body. There was no mistaking it: a soul fragment returning home.
By this time, I had already been walking the shamanic path, carrying my mesa, and had learned to sense and understand energy. But this was unique - quiet, certain, ancient. Even now, I do not know its story, only that it was mine. Stonehenge had given me back a piece of myself.

These moments ask not for understanding but for stillness. For gratitude. The stones are not there to perform - they are there to remember with us.

Clava Cairns, Scotland — The Stone That Spoke

At Balnauran of Clava Cairns, I wandered among the stone circles, hands open, listening for what lived beneath the surface. Our guide, Finbarr, suggested I spend time with one particular standing stone. I approached and placed my palms and body upon it - its cool surface humming softly.
This energy was not words but vibration. It moved through my body, pulling gently at my third eye until tears began to fall.
Later, as we sat with these ancient stones, during a group meditation, I was shown a vision—an Egyptian temple, Abu Simbel or perhaps the Temple of Nefertari. A woman’s face appeared, radiant, timeless. I wept without understanding why. I find often sacred sites remind me how they are connected to other spaces and places and people in time.
When the meditation ended, I couldn’t move. My body trembled, still processing. As our guide held space for me, I walked clockwise around the stones to integrate and ground. Each step brought breath back into my heart. Leaning against a nearby tree, stone in hand, I felt myself return. It was as if the Earth had conducted a ceremony through me, with me - one I hadn’t expected but had needed.

We often think we are visiting these places, but in truth, they are visiting us - touching what is ready to awaken, dissolve, or remember. Such encounters are not to be taken lightly.

Nepal — The Fire of Vajrayogini

I no longer remember the name of the temple, only that it was dedicated to Vajrayogini - the embodiment of enlightened wisdom in feminine form. As soon as I stepped before her altar, energy surged upward from my feet, filling me until I could hardly breathe. I stood frozen, aware that something was being activated or released, though I couldn’t say what.
When I stepped outside, I had to sit and let the energy finish moving through. Vajrayogini is said to transform the ordinary into the sacred - and perhaps that is what she did in me that day.

These experiences continue to unfold within me. They are not stories of the past but living imprints still teaching, still integrating.
Sacred sites are not meant to be consumed; they are to be communed with. They meet us soul to soul.
So when you find yourself called to one, go gently. Be curious, yes - but also be aware that the land is conscious and listening. Bring your reverence. Bring your gratitude.

For when we meet these places with open hearts, the Earth remembers us - and we remember ourselves.

Sacred Journeys

Over the years, I’ve been blessed to walk upon many sacred lands - sometimes as a participant, sometimes assisting and supporting the sacred container. Each journey has been its own ceremony, revealing the living wisdom of the Earth and how deeply She works with us when we listen.

These experiences continue to shape how I hold space for others - through intuitive sessions, energy healing, teachings, and gatherings that invite remembrance and reconnection with the sacred.

Sacred journeys are continually in creation - guided by Spirit, the land, and the whisper of what wishes to be revealed next.

The next is forming now, a return to Ireland in 2026, where ancient stones and living stories await.
If your heart stirs at the mention, I invite you to stay connected through my newsletter or waiting list to be among the first to know when this sacred journey opens.

Until then, may your own path unfold with awareness, reverence, and wonder for the living Earth beneath your feet.

With love,

Susan
